I know, this is supposed to be a "Travel" channel but please don't mind the occasional venture into other aspects of our lives that we'd like to share with you. Perhaps you can relate?
Min and I recently visited my Mom in California where she resides in Memory Care. At 89 years old, she is at Stage 6 of 7 on the Alzheimer's scale but is still quite mobile and ready to dance as you can see from this video. Her appetite has declined significantly in the last couple of months and we aren't sure if it will pick up again or not. We place it all in God's hands along with the staff who oversee her care on a daily basis.
We cherish the time we can spend with Mom and though it is frustrating she may not know my name or that I'm her son, she does seem to be aware of a strong connection we have long shared.
