Economic Facts & Fallacies: Racial Fallacies by Thomas Sowell
This video was difficult to make and I understand it might not be the most popular opinion, but I would like to share it anyway because the goal of this channel is to educate and spread valuable info. I do find the ideas of Thomas Sowell very close to my view and really appreciate the detailed fact-based approach he takes on the topic of race in the USA.
When comparing people's outcomes in a society grouped by race, fallacies can jump from every corner. There is the strong emotional element as well. Still we cannot explain all the differences with how society treats a group. In many cases minorities which were not especially well treated by society ended up better off than the majority in terms of income, education and wealth. Racism is a terrible thing, but it is not the only explanation why certain groups do worse in a society of equal opportunities. History cannot always be accountable for situations which are worse today than they were in the past. Watch the video with an open mind and please, be respectful in your comments!
