Create a Desktop Shortcut for an App on Windows 10
Please be informed that you can only create shortcuts for applications that run on the Windows desktop. Click on the start button and start typing the name of the program. When the shortcut appears on the search results, just right click on the Icon ➤More ➤Open file location ➤Select send to ➤Click desktop.
You can also use the drag and drop method. There are two ways to drag and drop something. If you hold down the left mouse button and drag the item to the desktop it will move the file/shortcut to that location. If you hold down the RIGHT mouse button and drag the item to the desktop, it will bring up a context menu where you can select create shortcut here.
