Interconversion of state of matter:

The state of matter can be changed by increasing or decreasing temperature and pressure.

Kinetic Theory of Matter on Interconversion of state:

Every matter is made up of small particles. When we increase the temperature particles gain energy and start moving faster which increases the intermolecular space between them. This leads to a change of state of matter into another.

Solid can be converted into Liquid and Liquid can be converted into Gas by heating. In opposite direction we can change gas into liquid and liquid into solid by cooling.
