This art form has been increasing in popularity over the last couple of months so I thought I would give it a shot. I've seen a lot of people use it in their branding, as well as for their profile pics so I figured if any business owner or artist wants to give it a try, I'd illustrate the process. All you need is a photo and a program like Adobe Illustrator or Procreate. While a WACOM tablet can be useful, I also believe you can achieve this digital illustration look with just a mouse.
This video documents my first time trying to create a digital portrait in this style. By following this tutorial, it is my hope that you will be able to cartoon yourself and your photos. So come draw with me as I take on the world of digital art! (My background is in traditional art, hence the challenge)
