Tired of getting graphite on your hands? Worried your drawing is going to fade over time? The best way to preserve your pencil and charcoal drawings is to use fixative spray. Let me show you how it works.
Now there are two different types, there's workable fixative which allows you to continue layering and final fixative which does not. Make sure to read up on which one works best for your workflow.
Note that you might hear people say to use hairspray as a cheap alternative to fixative, but the problem is hairspray will turn your paper yellow over time, which is a bummer after we've spent so much time on it. So do yourself a favor and get some non yellowing fixative.
I hope this helps!
