Welcome back to another Work In Progress (WIP) Wednesday! I am designing a fantasy video game, and these videos are designed to show the process of creating a video game in Unity. I'll describe where I'm at in the game development process, what I'm working on currently, and show some of the features as they're being developed.
This week, I've been continuing work on the climbing animations. I wasn't particularly happy with the hands and feet of my previous animations in-game. They always looked like they were sliding along the wall at a weird sped compared to the rest of the body. I learned that in Blender, keyframes are usually Bezier by default, leading to acceleration then deceleration between 2 points
By switching some keyframes to work in Linear mode instead, they moved at a fixed rate, leading to some very smooth animations. Very pleased with the end results.
I've also created the climbing left animation, and started work on the down animation too!
What do you think about this week's video? I hope you liked it! Let me know in the comments.
That's it for this week, thanks for watching, and I'll see you in the next one.
Let me know what you think below, I'd love to hear from you!
Download and try my test level ! I'd love feedback on it!
