In Katana 6.0, we've implemented a number of tools to make the lives of LookDev artists easier. With the introduction of LiveShadingGroups, you are now able to package up and share portions of your material node graph, improving flexibility and collaboration between teams and projects.
The implementation of Material Soloing also now gives artists the ability to short-circuit their material node graph, allowing for easy viewing of materials and shaders. With Material Soloing, what you see is what you get, allowing you to work with confidence.
Lastly, we've also introduced a number of Quality of Life improvements to the NetworkMaterialEdit and NetworkMaterial Interface introduced in Katana 4.5. Users are now able to promote user parameters in a NetworkMaterialEdit context, making it easier to adjust your LookDev without needing to jump into the Node. We've also increased performance within NetworkMaterials, allowing you to work with massive amounts of data instantly.
