Saving electricity with a DIY project? It's possible, because knowing our electricity consumption is the first step to start lowering it. That's exactly what we'll be dealing with in today's video, in which I'll show you how I've built a cheap smart energy meter that can measure the energy consumption of our home and send it to Home Assistant via WiFi. From the Home Assistant app we will then be able to see the instant power consumption and graphs with the consumption day by day or in different time slots, so that we can realize what consumes the most and also the small consumptions we don't notice.
