Presentation Title: Age-friendly cities in the Netherlands: An explorative study of facilitators and barriers in the built environment

Professor Joost van Hoof DSc., PhD., MSc., Eur Ing. (1980) holds a chair in Urban Ageing at The Hague University of Applied Sciences in The Hague, The Netherlands. He is also affiliated with the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences, in Wrocław, Poland.

Professor van Hoof is a board member at two housing organisations for older people based in the Netherlands. His research interests are housing, urban planning and technology for ageing populations in cities.
