ALWAYS is important to be safe with your documents. Check backup settings in your LibreOffice installation, but also you can use a very useful extension. See how to do that.
EDIT: Meanwhile I found that you can asign a shortcut from Customize like that: Cusomize - Keyboard - Category: Application Macros - MyMacros - timeStampBackup - Function: timeStampBackup - Keys: Ctrl+T. And should work fine. At least works for me and the author of the extension (See more info here in the last comment: https://extensions.libreoffice.org/en....
