iTunes backup now button is grayed out? iTunes backup now button is not working? In this video, I showed you how to solve this annoying problem.

TIMESTAMPS:
0:23 - Restarting iTunes and even restarting the full computer often fixed iTunes gray backup now button. Before doing anything complicated I strongly recommend you to restart your computer or at least the iTunes

00:51 - Close iTunes. Run CMD as administrator. Then copy paste undermentioned code in to CMD. Hit enter. Once done start iTunes again. Connect your iPhone or iPad to your computer. Then click on device icon. Let’s check whether iTunes backup now button is now showing as active or not.

Mac OS X users need to open Terminal and enter the command given below. Before opening Terminal and running given command, you should close iTunes. Once the command is executed you can start iTunes again and check whether backup now button is fixed or not.

1:32 - In my case I solved my greyed-out iTunes backup now button simply updating my iTunes. To update iTunes, go to Help. Then Check for updates. Then follow other steps to update your iTunes.

The first and last methods will work in Windows, Linux and Mac computers. The second method is only intended to windows users.

Good thing is, you can easily fix the backup now button greyed out problem by following any of these three methods.

——————— MAC OS X TERMINAL COMMAND ———————
defaults delete com.apple.iTunes DeviceBackupsDisabled
