KVM | Increasing Resources on Guest VM
Online increase of vCPU is still under preview for the guest VMs. In this exercise we will do the offline increase of the resources.
Example – on the Guest VM – task is to increase the vCPU count from 1 to 4 and memory increase from 01G to 04G.
Shutdown the Guest VM
virst shutdown guest_vm
Update the required number of vcpus and memory
virsh edit guest_vm
Boot the Guest VM
virst start guest_vm
