If there was a favorite knot award, this would get it! I've been using this knot for more than 25 years since it was shown to me by a friend and guide, Bob Hesse. I've used it in fresh and saltwater, with mono or fluoro and ranging from 7X to 40#! It hasn't failed me and provides a clean, simple, transition between lighter and heavier materials.

If you know what the "real name" of the knot is... send it my way. Not that I'll change what I call it but at least the 25 year old mystery will be solved. Thanks and tight lines!
