Flies don't have to be complicated to be effective and the Micro Clouser proves it! I recently went to Cape Cod with my fly fishing club and we saw clouds of small silversides and sand eels moving on and off the flats. I started by casting a traditional Clouser ( ~3" to 4") and the fish did not cooperate, in fact, some would turn and run when they saw the flies! Late that evening after cracking a beer, I decided to go micro and man-oh-man am I glad I did, because once the Micro Clouser hit the water the fish couldn't resist! In fact, I saw stripers and bluefish move across the flats to eat the fly! I fished MC's in black, chartreuse and the combo in this video and together they accounted for 80+ schoolies, bluefish, shad and bunker! My arm and Echo SR #3 has never been tested harder and I can't wait to do it again!
