This is a video that goes over my initial impressions of three different “M70AB2 AK FWT-CONTRACTOR” rifles that Atlantic firearms was offering. These were allegedly “built under contract by Century Arms for Military Foreign Weapons Training and Security Contractor use”. These are rifles are marketed for collectors, not as an actual heavy use or “go to” AK. The “lore” is what makes these interesting.

All of these rifles feature quite a bit of external wear, make shift barrel mounted accessory mount (likely a force on force laser or flashlight mount), and varying degrees of issues.

Two have severely bent stocks, whilst one has a canted stock that is very loose and floppy.

All examples have AKM style muzzle brakes, but have the remnants of what appears to be weld marks hitting that possibly a blank fire adapter was permanently fitted. These welds appear to have been ground off.

None of these rifles feature dust/top cover retaining mechanisms, but frankly that doesn’t matter as these were likely not intended to ever be used to fire rifle grenades via a spigot.

One rifle has a severely bent rear sight, one rifle has an upside down rear sight, and one rifle has an intact rear sight. All of these rifles have front night sights, albeit the front sight blocks appear to have been painted black at some point in time.

These builds were allegedly built by Two Rivers Arms using Green Mountain barrels & varianced Century Arms Inc, but I cannot confirm this. Century is known for outsourcing a lot of their builds, and the M70AB2s were allegedly outsourced by DCI & Two Rivers. I had a DCI Century Marked AB2 a few years ago, and it just did not work, but luckily I got a full refund.

Lastly, none of these rifles have matching parts, and they are all equipped with the extremely BASED Tapco G2 fire control groups. Oddly enough for century builds, the bolt carriers on these examples have been refinished. I could totally see a military or “PMC” group requesting the bolt carriers be refinished for “corrosion resistance” or “to stop glare” from the polished BCG.

Stay tuned for more videos on these bizarre rifles!
