Residents on the NSW Central Coast are expressing concern about the government’s plans to build a massive wind farm ten kilometres offshore, with fears the turbines will threaten marine life and tourism.
The farm is set to be built over 5,000 square kilometres between Norah Head and Port Stephens – with the turbines expected to be built the same size as Sydney’s Centrepoint Tower.
Members of the community warn the project could harm migrating whales and birds, including international tourist appeal.
