В этом году ежегодный фестиваль Easter Jeep Safari празднует полувековой юбилей: весной 1967 года в окрестностях городка Моаб (штат Юта) прошел первый слет энтузиастов автомобилей Jeep. Тогда мероприятие прошло одним днем, но с годами оно становилось все более масштабным и в этом году продлится аж девять дней — с 8 по 16 апреля. А по доброй традиции последних лет компания Jeep совместно с тюнинговым подразделением Mopar подготовила к фестивалю семь ярких шоу-каров. Которые, впрочем, вполне работоспособны и могут покорять бездорожье наряду с обычными участниками Пасхального сафари.
Четыре из семи машин представляют собой вариацию на тему Рэнглера, а наиболее ярким получился концепт Jeep Safari.
Jeep Switchback тоже создан на базе Рэнглера с мотором 3.6, но предназначен для покорения экстремального бездорожья. Его кузов поэкспедиционный днят на 102 мм, а в па крыше.одвеске установлены амортизаторы Fox с выносными компенсационными камерами. Комплектация включает лебедку и багажник на крыше.
Концепт Jeep Luminator создан для рекламы светотехнических изделий компании Magneti Marelli.
Jeep Quicksand — это хот-род для песчаной местности. По законам жанра у него заниженная крыша, разноразмерные колеса (сзади крупнее, чем спереди) и практически отсутствующий выпускной тракт: патрубки расположены сразу за передними колесами
Шоу-кар Jeep CJ66 уже показывали на прошлогоднем тюнинг-шоу SEMA в Лас-Вегасе. Он представляет собой гибрид рамы от модели Wrangler TJ (1997 год) и переделанного кузова внедорожника Jeep CJ 1966 года.
