This is the first of a series of conversations The Corps Network hopes to facilitate as part of our Moving Forward Initiative, supported by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation.

“Success is to be measured not so much by the position that one has reached in life as by the obstacles which (one) has overcome while trying to succeed."

Booker T. Washington wrote these words more than a century ago to address his African American compatriots. We would like to use these words to frame these conversations with “Emerging Leaders.”

Sydni Dobson, The Corps Network's Communications Associate, and Jordan Chatman of the Communications and Public Relations team at Patagonia, will serve as our hosts. They will chat with our guests (see speaker list below) about their journeys to the conservation and environmental fields. We look forward to other conversations to highlight Corps Alumni and other young BIPOC leaders in the field.

We invite you to share this event with Corpsmembers and other young adults so they can also hear these stories.
