In this video we will learn to accept user input and handling optional request parameters.

In this series of videos we are building a spring boot project i.e a game called Guess The Word. To guess a character present inside a word, we should enter a char inside a text box. Our aim is to design this text box using thymeleaf. We can then try taking the input and then process it further for evaluation.

now the challenge is, the request parameter may always not going to be available inside the url. So this video shows the way we should use @RequestParam(required=false).
