Just so everybody knows minecraft 1.7.2 AND 1.7.4 is all almost exactly same. Since you can join a 1.7.2 server while using 1.7.4 on a minecraft client. So this means that I can have minecraft 1.7.4 but still join any 1.7.2 server (bukkit or vanilla) what so ever. Just saying so everybody knows. :)

Have any problems with your server? Please read this before commenting in case the solution can be found here, then please leave a comment if this helped you out! :) Thankyou!
if the server says: Please click any key to continue and closes down immedietly, make sure to look above that text if there is any "error messages" These are the reasons why this is happening. The most common errors are:
Problem 1:
You have not renamed the .jar file (server file) to only "craftbukkit" (Just make sure to delete all the numbers)
Problem 2:
You have entered a invalid port, remember that the port must be within 5 numbers. Nothing else, or the server will crash.
Problem 3:
If it says "perhaps a server is already running on that port?" It means that you're running some other kind of server at the same port (default is "25565") so make sure you are not running any other kind of server at the same time as you are starting this one. And also if you don't know where the server is running or you don't have any server running make sure to close down minecraft (make sure that you're not hosting any LAN worlds or anything.)
Another usual problem or thing that you just haven't noticed could be that you have double clicked the "craftbukkit.jar" this will also start the server but it will only start the server as a regular vanilla server. even if you have plugins in the plugins folder installed no plugins will be used in this case. So if you may have tried to open the "craftbukkit.jar" inside your folder by mistake, just open the "taskmanager.exe" by rightclicking the taskbar, then rightclick the taskbar and click on "start task manager", then go to "processes" on the taskmanager, find the process called "javaw.exe" and close it. But make sure that you have minecaft closed before doing this, or you might just close minecraft instead of the server process.
Problem 4:
You did everything correctly (And in this case yes you did!) but it says: "'java' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file" This is only a common java problem, just go into you're "Program Files (x86)" folder located in you're Primary hard drive and copy the folder called "Java" inside it. Then simply paste it into the other "Program Files" folder without the "(x86)" next to it. And then try start you're server again and you should be good to go!
If it still doesen't work check out this video that will make it work:
• How to Fix - "java is not recognized ...
*If you're friends can't join / reach you're server:
To make your friend able to connect to it from any place on earth You must port forward your router onto the local device that the server is hosted on, if you have not portforwarded you're router on the same port as your server (Always make srue that you are port forwarding at the same port as the server is running on) make sure to do so.
