Final Day
It’s been a great week of hard work and amazing results but what counts is what our clients think because that the most important part of our work.
Our first project for Parfait Parquet for 2025 completed at Château De Lalacelle a great way to start the year with our second phase of restoring the 400 suite parquet floors.
We completed a total of five rooms that all needed their own unique restoration approach to ensure a great outcome.
The blue room with chevron parquet is a stunning floor that was hidden under years of dust and debris once we sanded it back we used our PALLMANN spider to restore the floors to the level of finish you see now.
The pine rooms where a challenge of their own as pine always is a more complex process to restore and should not be under estimated just how much work goes into pine restoration.
Once sanded from 36/60/80/120 they were cleaned out, then gap filled then re sanded and then finally stained with Osmo cognac stain.
The hardest room looked the easiest to restore that was the entrance landing in old brown Oak extremely hard wood to sand and being so old was uneven and cupped so what looks Simple was technical and also very rewarding.
I always say when assessing any French floor for restoration consider just how much work is required to get to the level of outcome you see here. Between myself and ray we have over 40 years of experience and we still find challenges in our process. I have sanded floors in America, Australia and the Uk and never found floors as challenging as French parquet floors.
The rewards are obviously the outcome and seeing out clients happy with the works we provide. That what makes it all worth while.
