How to Create, Edit and Delete Conditional Formatting Rules in Excel - Office 365
Excel's inbuilt conditional formatting rules are mainly used to format cells based on their own values. If you want to apply conditional formatting rules based on another cell or format an entire row based on a single cell's value use formulas.
