Welcome back, educators.
We’ll explore the Document outline and edit it.
Click the icon on the upper left corner.
Will open the Document outline.
It looks like the Table of contents, until now.
There are some differences between them,
Let’s take an example to find out it.
On a new page, let’s add some text. And then divide it into 3 sections.
To that let’s follow these simple steps.
Click where you want to finish the first section.
On the Insert menu, click Break, then Section break (continuous).
Repeat the process to add the Section break to the other two sections.
And now, the 3 sections have been added to the Document outline.
But the table of contents still has just the heading on the document.
Now, let’s remove all the heading from the Document outline.
Hover over on the heading, then click the cross sign.
We could add a heading again to the Document outline by selecting it.
Then right-click, and then click Add to document outline from the list.
We could add the title of the Table of contents to the Document outline.
To do that, change its style from Normal text to a Heading.
To make the page looks better, let’s add a horizontal line between the sections.
Click where you want to add the Horizontal line.
Then on the Insert menu, click Horizontal line.
And now we could move to different places in the document easily.
That’s it, have fun. Thanks for watching.
