Bajaj Auto has announced the approval of a substantial share buyback. The buyback is set at ₹4,000 crore, with shares priced at ₹10,000 each, marking a notable premium of 43 percent compared to the last closing price as of January 8 (Monday). Bajaj Auto intends to acquire 40 lakh shares through the tender route, which is equivalent to 1.41 percent of the company's outstanding shares. Noteworthy is the active participation of the company's promoters in the buyback, who currently hold a stake of 54.94 percent in the company.
