India Today has uncovered harrowing details from the polygraph test of Sanjay Roy, the civic volunteer arrested for the rape and murder of a trainee PG doctor at Kolkata's RG Kar Hospital on August 9th. On the night of the crime, Roy allegedly confessed to a night of debauchery, including getting drunk with a friend, visiting two red-light districts, and molesting a woman while en route between these areas. Despite his sordid actions, Roy claimed he did not engage in sex at the red-light areas. He later returned to the hospital, dropped off his friend, and made a video call to his girlfriend, allegedly asking for nudes. Around 4 AM, he entered the seminar hall where he reportedly raped and murdered Abhaya, who had been awake until at least 2:45 AM. Displaying no remorse, Roy allegedly got intoxicated again early the next morning, just hours before his arrest. Meanwhile, the CBI has intensified its probe, raiding multiple locations linked to former RG Kar principal Sandip Ghosh. As public outrage mounts, the question remains—how long before justice is served for Kolkata's Abhaya?
