Used Audi A3 Review - 2016 | Sportback, Cabriolet or Hatchback
Audi celebrated 20 years of the A3 with this all new model, a car that took the world by storm in 2016.
In this video we're going to focus on the 3rd generation Audi A3 that launched back in 2012 and more specifically the facelift model that showcased in 2016.
The Audi A3 can trace its roots back to 1996 with the launch of the original 3 door. 3 generations later and Audi have moved the game on with a selection of performance S3 & RS3 models, E-tron plug-in hybrid, Quattro all wheel drive, cabriolet, 5 door sportback and 4 door saloon models, all available to this day in 2020.
Today, we'll take a look at just what makes this latest A3 a popular used choice.
and choice is the keyword, from Audi's award winning 1.0 TFSI petrol engine, exceptional Euro 6 compliant diesel engines and optional 7 speed S-Tronic gearbox there's an A3 out there for you.
Once inside there's a big wow factor with a high quality interior and standard specification across the range. Every A3 features the fantastic Audi smartphone interface with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto smartphone mirroring, xenon headlights, bluetooth & cruise control. This latest A3 is available with Audi virtual cockpit, a fully customisable digital display first seen in the Lamborghini Aventador, 14 speaker Bang & Olufsen surround sound system, wireless phone charging and super sports seats - these look incredible.
Engine's range from Audi's next generation 1.0 &and 1.5 turbocharged petrol's (later models feature 30 or 35 TFSI badges respectively), fantastic E-Tron plug-in hybrid with an impressive 29 mile electric range, superb Euro 6 1.6 and 2.0 diesel's (later models feature 30, 35 or 40 TDI badges) and fiery 2.0 TFSI petrol (later models feature a 40 TFSI badge).
All models have a cambelt (with the exception of the 2.0 petrol) with replacement due at 140,000 miles or 5 years, it's also worth confirming the service intervals too, the majority are on a longlife interval allowing you to travel up to 20,000 miles or 2 years, whilst some are on the standard 10,000 miles or 1 year interval, as a bonus Audi offer service plans for any used Audi up to 10 years old.
