Elden Ring - Recusant Bernahl not invading FIX

Hi all. Just another Elden Ring update. I am now level 220. You must think I'm crazy for playing this game so much but I really want to 100% a game and I thought Elden Ring could be the first time I do it, as it's such a great game. I am now trying to complete the achievement where I collect all the legendary armaments, and one of them is the devourer's scepter.

The guides all point to obtaining this weapon from Recusant Bernahl when he invades you at Crumbling Farum Azula, one of the last few areas of the game. I am standing at exactly where he is meant to invade you but he isn't invading.

It turns out that there are some compulsory dialogue that has to happen in one of the earlier areas (Volcano Manor) that none of the guides I've seen tell you that you have to do. So in the video you can see that once I've talked to those people, the invasion dropped.
