An Innovation and Entrepreneurship Platform Traveling to Universities
InnoCampus is a collaborative nonprofit project providing an innovation and entrepreneurship experience to university students. It is a prefabricated portable platform, which consists of coworking, co-learning and co-creation (FabLab) spaces as well as a digital platform.
The project aims to contribute to Turkey’s innovation performance and increase youth employment by strengthening the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem in Turkey through collaboration and partnerships among universities, public bodies, private sector and NGOs both in Turkey and Europe.
InnoCampus will strive to achieve this aim by training students from different backgrounds and disciplines to overcome challenges of innovation and entrepreneurship through collaboration and, as a result, to come up with creative products or services. This will also help the students realize the importance of innovation in their own fields of education.
InnoCampus participants will be categorized under four groups based on their innovation and entrepreneurship interest and skills; Green, Blue, Red and Orange. The duration and level of each program is different:
Green: All participants visiting InnoCampus
Blue: Participants willing to participate in 1 week co-learning program
Red: Participants willing to participate in 1 week co-working and co-creation program following 1 week co-learning program
Orange: Participants who already have ideas and projects and are willing to actively utilize the co-learning, co-working and co-creation spaces for the duration of 4 weeks.
Coworking Space is an inspirational open office where the pre-selected entrepreneur students can work together, share ideas, form teams, receive individual coaching and mentorship. “Entrepreneur candidates” will work towards maturing their ideas, developing business plans and teams and at the end of the month will make an “elevator pitch” to share their business cases. The team with the best idea and business plan will have the right to participate in the competition with other universities and will be awarded with participation in an acceleration program in Turkey or abroad.
Co-learning Space is the activity space where the students can participate in interactive workshops and seminars about innovation and entrepreneurship, and listen to inspirational talks. “Practical Entrepreneurship and Innovation Program” will be provided to the participants on a weekly basis for 4 weeks by competent and experienced experts.
Co-creation Space (FabLab - Fabrication Laboratory) is a creativity workshop where students can produce their own prototypes using computer-assisted tools and machines. Participants who have transformed their ideas into business plans in co-learning and co-working phases can further build physical products here.
