A Night Beside Broken Top (Inspired by Kraig Adams)
Experience this solo hiking adventure near Broken Top in the Three Sisters Wilderness of Central Oregon.
Leaving from Bend, Oregon, I parked at the Todd Lake trailhead, followed Todd Trail #34, Soda Creek Trail #11 and Broken Top Trail #10 before ascending the south side of Ball Butte which stands at 7,917ft. Hike in was 9.22 miles. Epic sunset views of Broken Top with Comet NEOWISE and a morning hike out overland with Gaia GPS to Tumalo Falls reconnecting to Metolius Windigo Trail, Swampy Lakes Trail #23 and North Fork Trail. The hike out was 11.51 miles with a total of 20.73 miles. An amazing mindful adventure in nature!
