In 15.0, Nuke now runs natively on Apple Silicon, yielding an increase of up to 20% in general processing times.
In Nuke Studio and Hiero BlinkScripts have been extended to allow complex soft, such as 2D blur and other spatial aware effects to be written for and applied directly on the timeline.
Conform and distribution workflows can now take advantage of the improved Advanced Timeline effects, including Denoise and LensDistortion that can now be applied on the timeline, allowing for greater quality control and are optimised for Apple Silicon.
When giving quick feedback during the review process, you can now run Inference directly on the timeline. This means that you can create a cat file in one shot, and check it against the other relevant shots in your timeline, and quickly see how well your model works across your sequence and which shots could use further training to perfect the copycat model for your show.
In NukeX’s Copycat, Metal Performance Shader, or MPS workflows have made processing up to 11x faster on Apple Silicon.
Now Nuke is fully native, the overall node graph processing performance is up to 20% faster and the Native Bokeh node added in Nuke 14.0, has also been optimised for Apple Silicon.
And to benefit from even faster playback when reviewing a sequence, timeline disk caching is now also fully supported.
With native apple silicon support, artists can leverage the power of their machine and take advantage of all the latest workflows available in Nuke 15.
