I would suggest taping off or wrapping with plastic the water components to help it be less messy. I was in a big hurry that evening and kinda rushed getting it done. It will be okay in my case because I’m gonna get more mortar and go over it all again to smooth it out better. Then I will be painting the whole foundation grey, after it is completed. With paint for exterior masonry of course.
