Sammy Hagar Says Alex Van Halen’s Been Ignoring Him 'He’s Going to Take it to His Grave, I Guess'
He elaborated on his attempts to initiate a reunion and collaborate musically with Alex, lamenting the lack of response:
“I’ve hit Alex a hundred times. ‘Alex, call me. Let’s get together. Let’s make some music. You know what I mean? It’s not about trying to be Van Halen. It’s about serving the fans. Let’s play that music together, for God’s sake. How could you not when the lead singer’s still alive? You got two of them still alive. One is less user-friendly, but Mikey and Alex and myself – Let’s just go play music.’ He just won’t respond. Since Eddie’s death, he’s been really shut down with me anyway. I’m gonna go out and play that fucking music.”
