I'm always looking for a fabric to make a hexagonal kaleidoscope out of. And this time I wanted it to be a panel that I could both cut, and leave one in the center of the quilt. I saw a lot of wonderful prints with wolves, deer, whales, but I didn't have the heart to cut them)) And finally, this wonderful Nautilus! I loved the colors, the hexagons that were formed in the process and the final result! What do you think?
Later, I will take better photos and post them in the Community, because right now we have not the best winter landscapes)))
A few technical details:
I used 1+6 panels and 2 1/2 yard fabrics for the board.
The width of the strips from which I cut the triangles is 11 cm (4.3")
I made 100 hexagons and used 99.5 of them!
The size of the finished quilt 190cm/225cm ( 75"/88,5")
