Join Marketing Director David Brennan and B1 Consultant Claudia Nino of Clients First Business Solutions as they discuss basic HANA Query Writing in SAP Business One.
Queries are very useful when it comes to the existing Out-Of-The-Box reporting tools available in Business One. Often, it presents data in a way that you want to view differently. For example, if users are frequently generating Profit and Loss (P&L) reports, Balance Sheets, Sales Analyses or Purchasing Analyses, your information is presented in a rather static context.
This often leaves very little for users to change, modify or visualize in a different fashion. When you want to see your items in a new light, or require more information, you can recreate the existing report as a Query.
Queries are also beneficial when helping set up alerts and approvals for your staff. It's possible to create them for specific circumstances, for instance Past Due Balances, along with the links and connectivity to those would be notified both internally and externally.
