Minecraft is a sandbox video game originally created by Swedish programmer Markus "Notch" Persson and later developed and published by Mojang. Minecraft Console Edition is developed by 4J Studios on behalf of Mojang. Minecraft is available on PC/Windows 10, Pocket Edition (mobile), Playstation 4, Playstation 3, Playstation Vita, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii U and Nintendo Switch. Minecraft features various modes including survival, creative, adventure and mini games. The game continues to be enhanced with regular title updates (TU) that introduce new items, new blocks, new mobs, new structures and new features including new mini games and new mini game maps. Additional features are available with the use of mods (or modifiers) that are custom made by both fans of the game and the developers. Minecraft has become one of the most played and popular games.
