Rebuilding Notre-Dame de Paris
On April 15, 2019, the world watched in despair as flames engulfed the iconic Notre-Dame de Paris cathedral. But in this tragedy came the promise to rebuild.
Following the fire, Autodesk donated funds for the restoration and offered technical support. A patronage agreement was signed to provide design and construction solutions to help restore the cathedral, including an intelligent 3D model of the cathedral and technical expertise all along the restoration process.
Four years later, the restoration is in full force, with hundreds of workers involved in this unique project to allow a reopening of the cathedral by the end of 2024.
