This is currently the easiest way to update the ArkOS on the R36S and other compatible ArkOS emulator consoles, and the only things you need are your phone and an USB-C OTG cable to connect the handheld to your phone. Using the USB tether Android feature you can share the internet connection to many devices without any additional settings tweaking, and if your console supports this feature, you can use it to perform an update. Of course, it's always advised to backup the SD card containing the OS files before doing an update, but I quite foolishly took a risk and succeeded, making this update 100% PC-less. If you're brave enough, do try this at home, if not, just backup your system SD card first!
