Donald Trump’s attorneys are fighting to avoid a previously revoked gag order in his federal election interference case, arguing that it violates the former president’s First Amendment rights.

In a surprise move, the ACLU has expressed support for Trump’s appeal in a written brief, stating, “Everyone is entitled to the same First Amendment protection against gag orders that are too broad and too vague.”
