Sammy Hagar recently expressed his disappointment over Alex Van Halen’s decision to sell his drumming and other musical equipment. Hagar interpreted this sale as a personal statement from Alex. In an interview, Hagar shared his thoughts, believing the sale was Alex's way of saying he was done with music. Hagar, who was Van Halen's lead singer from 1985 to 1996 and again from 2003 to 2005, felt it was a shame.
“I think that the sale was his statement to me,” Hagar told Classic Rock. “I think that was his way of saying, ‘I’m over. I’m done.’ It’s a shame."
