In SEER (2023), the NYC-based multidisciplinary artists Tony Wang and Demetris Charalambous investigate the boundaries between video and performance art by activating the most unpredictable of all archives: the body. Described as a “visual disharmony” depicting the intrusions of past experiences in present realities, SEER bears witness to how movement can act as a portal to access memories, buried deep or lingering just out of reach.

Em(bodied) memories emerge in gasps, bursts, and then rushes, in a powerful choreography alternating between purging and holding.
