I feel like the question about SharePoint Permissions comes up a lot. In order to discuss permissions we really have to understand the basics. In this video we go over SharePoint permissions including when the site is a O365 Group site and a MS Team Site.

This video does not give you all best practices, I will create a new video for that. This is just an introductory.

Sometimes you have to break inheritance also to a library. I would recommend more breaking inheritance at the library level and the folder level or hopefully never the item level.

Finally the question that sparked this topic was which permission level do you need to create site columns and site content types. Well you need to be an owner.
