Nazar Hrabar - The Defenders by Saint Javelin
Meet Nazar Hrabar, a Ukrainian soldier who left behind his life as an actor, dancer and model in March 2022 when he volunteered to join the Territorial Defence Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
We chose Nazar to represent our new Defender collection because we wanted to find a Ukrainian defender who exhibits the values and qualities that inspired us to make the Defender collection in the first place. Check out the collection here: https://bit.ly/defender-colleciton
Nazar’s story of great sacrifice, determination, and loss is the same one shared by so many other Ukrainians who were forced to instantly evolve from ordinary civilians to hardened soldiers serving in Europe's largest war since World War Two.
In this interview, you will hear Nazar describe his decision to join the military with his brother, his experience of being wounded in battle and the inexplicable pain of losing his brother in Donbas.
His story should be amplified and heard by people around the world so they understand the price that ordinary people have to pay for the freedoms so many of us take for granted today.
