In this video EMS demonstrates how we 3D scanned an ancient axe with a possible macabre history. The owner of the axe wanted to create a duplicate so he could take the axe to shows and seminars. He didn't want to risk damage or theft of the axe because of its possible value. EMS 3D scanned the axe at a very high resolution and then 3D printed the axe on a production SLA 3D printer. Next the 3D printed model was painted to look like the original.
