The Wildest Night In MLB History
September 28, 2011, was the wildest night in MLB history. That night we saw the Rays complete a 9-game comeback against the Red Sox after having a .5% chance to make the playoffs. And we saw the Cardinals complete a 10.5-game comeback against the Braves. And this was all capped off with an Evan Longoria walk-off home run in the bottom of the 12th. This was a day that had a long-term effect on the MLB and led to Theo Epstein taking over the Cubs, Terry Francona going to Cleveland, and the addition of the wild card game in 2012.
