Discord Has A Secret...
Discord has a secret, which not many people have ever seen or heard about. And some would regard it to be fairly controversial due to the nature of what happened.
Discord has always been an application full of secrets, with many hidden Discord Easter Eggs with anything from special keyboard combos, to a Discord Call Sound Remix and a funky Discord Ringtone. However, hidden deep within the code of the Mobile Discord Application (specially the Android Application, as this was not on Apple iOS) was a stock image of a cat looking at a dog. Eventually this was found by someone who decompiled the Android application and found this special image. They went onto Reddit and made an entire post about it which resulted in Discord Staff, Discord Partners, Discord Mods / Discord Moderators, other users with Discord Badges and standard users starting to joke around. They wanted to find “who the culprit” was in regards to this random image that popped up. And eventually they did. However, shortly afterwards Discord locked the reddit post and removed the image from their code.
In replace of the image Discord decided to place a folder named “where did the cat go” which is why it is fairly controversial in my eyes… because it was a cat and a dog… yet Discord are leaving the dog out of this. Maybe the dog got banned from Discord or a hacker took him out. Who knows? Obviously I’m joking around, and being sarcastic as you can see within the video - however, it is upsetting how they did remove this pretty cool Easter egg within the code of the application - however, I guess it still remains with a link to the reddit post and a piece of Discord’s history.
This is a continuation of my series about Discord Easter Eggs and Secrets in which I made videos about other Easter egg features as well as Discord Secret Applications, Discord Secret Bots and more. In the background my friend is playing Minecraft 1.8.9 with Lunar Client and Optifine, as well as with a funky texture pack and shaders. He is playing Bridge Duels on Hypixel, the biggest Minecraft Server in the world. And in particular he is actually playing against me… it came down to me winning in the end.
In the coming days, I will be doing a new video about Discord Nitro, as well as a new Discord Meme video surrounding Discord Admins and Calls - in funny situations. I will also continue with my Discord News series.
