Your 5 p.m. Greater Cleveland and Northeast Ohio weather forecast for September 11, 2024:

We sure could use some rain across northern Ohio. In fact, all of Ohio could use some rain. Typically in September we turn towards the tropics to bring us some rain across the eastern US as cold fronts are hard to find. Despite the fact that we have a hurricane heading into the Gulf Coast, we're not expecting any of that rain to reach us here in Ohio.

The reason is the strong area of high pressure we currently have dominating our weather pattern. It's been bringing loads of sunshine with just passing clouds and you can expect more of the same today. Temps will begin to warm as they reach into the low 80s.
