Warriors Orochi - Special Dialogue (Wu)
This took a lot longer to do than I was expecting, but I said I'd make these compilations, so here it is. All the special dialogue I could find for the Wu stages in WO1.
00:00 Chapter 1
I left the first cutscene in because Hanzo only appears in it if he's in the active party. Ranmaru's only plays if you're Sun Ce. There's lines from all 3 starting characters for taking Tian Dang, but they tend to override one another so I had to play 3 times just to hear all of those. I had trouble triggering Hanzo's lines throughout this entire video, I often had to do extra runs just to hear his lines.
5:58 Chapter 2
Lu Xun has a cutscene for launching his fire attack which is easily missable since you're supposed to stop it. Also, if Gan Ning is alive after the fire attack is prevented, then he'll be ordered to launch a surprise attack which also has its own unique lines. But if Gan Ning is defeated before then, Lu Xun will have unique lines for THAT too. Ranmaru has more lines if he's NOT in the active party too.
10:18 Chapter 2-X
This is my favorite one. If you get ALL the supply units killed, then Mitsunari will show up as reinforcements and rag on you for screwing up so badly. The lines were pretty amusing.
13:21 Chapter 3
Sakon has a different line depending on if you clear the enemies at his spawn before he arrives or not, some lines for failing, and Yoshihiro and Xingcai will have different lines if you allow their reinforcements to arrive but Sakon's strategy succeeded. Otherwise, Xingcai just orders a charge. You can also force the reinforcements to spawn sooner if you rush the castle.
16:17 Chapter 3-X
If Nobunaga is in the party, No won't join Wu even if you fulfill the conditions to get her, since it always plays that unique version of the stage's outro. Is a nice touch and makes sense she'd go with Nobunaga if he was there.
19:03 Chapter 4
There's quite a few different lines from Sakon, Sun Jian, and Cao Ren if you ignore Sakon and dance around at the front gate before rescuing Sun Jian.
21:30 Chapter 4-X
I showed Kunoichi's line for if you failed to get her at the end.
23:52 Chapter 5
Ina has a neat gimmick here where she'll either get a buff or a morale drop depending on who she encounters in her first appearance. She gets a buff against Tadakatsu and Sakon, and a morale drop against Ieyasu and Ginchiyo. Also Sun Ce's line for Da Qiao only triggers if he defeats her after Sun Quan has appeared.
27:40 Chapter 5-X
There's a bunch of things Sima Yi can order that are potentially missable depending on your actions. If Sun Ce makes it close to Da Qiao, he'll order his men on the right to ride the current and rush him. If his troops on the left are alive after Sun Ce's group has left the main camp, he'll use the current to have his troops rush Ieyasu. Ieyasu has different lines depending on if the main camp is safe or under attack. Dong Zhuo also has a bunch of lines towards Da Qiao depending on how far his troops make it into her base, and Da Qiao herself has a number of lines as well.
31:33 Chapter 6
The lines against Zhen Ji and Keiji can only be triggered if the ambush succeeds. There's a surprising number of lines from them if you keep going back and forth when luring them.
36:23 Chapter 6-X
Everyone has a bunch of "Rise up!" lines throughout this stage, for whatever reason. Lu Meng has an extra line if you approach the drum when it's not time to hit it yet. Yoshimoto can appear if you bang the drum after you've already summoned all your allies.
39:06 Chapter 7
This stage has a lot of triggers. If you ignore the strategy, the decoy generics get pissed at you and they all have lines for if they die before Sun Jian is rescued. Sima Yi and Dong Zhuo have lines if you attack them before rescuing Sun Jian too, and different ones for after. Sun Ce and SSX have lines to Zhang He if all the decoys were killed and you haven't rescued Sun Jian yet. This is hard to trigger because it's VERY likely Sun Quan will die if the strategy falls apart. Ranmaru's supposed to have lines with Zhang He as well, but I could never get anything to trigger from him, just the unique lines Zhang He has when fighting Ranmaru (which can play in any stage).
44:06 Chapter 7-X
Sakon's line with Tadakatsu is technically missable if they never interact. The Tokugawa characters have two sets of interactions with Tadakatsu, before and after he's an ally.
46:26 Chapter 8
Several characters have lines for Dong Zhuo but only after he's kidnapped SSX, which happens if she approaches him on her own. If you're there, or you play as her, an ambush triggers instead which has unique lines as well. Da Ji has lines and orders her troops to charge when he's defeated, but if Da Ji is already defeated, Orochi says a line instead.
53:58 Chapter 8-X
Sakon has lines for if his fire attack succeeds, and Lu Xun has some if Sakon fails and he succeeds. There's lines for them both failing too, and Sakon being defeated.
