Sewa International Chicago Sewa International- Chicago Chapter Hosts 9/11 Day of Service Event 'Honor Our Heroes!

Sewa Chicago successfully commemorated the 9/11 Day of Service with its event, Honor Our Heroes on Sunday at the National India Hub National INDIA HUB

In a heartfelt tribute to veterans, first responders, and survivors of the 9/11 attacks, a recent event also recognized the dedicated volunteers who continue to serve the community. The gathering fostered a profound sense of unity, gratitude, and remembrance among all in attendance.

The event featured a keynote address by Dr. Ashish Sharma, Climate and Urban Sustainability Lead, alongside speeches by Michelle Mussman, IL State Representative for the 56th District; Dr. Parth Patel, US Army Doctor; and veterans from the American Legion Palatine, Schiller Park posts and Icon Shakti - Vidya Nahar.

Attendees, joined by their families, honored those who have made sacrifices for the safety and well-being of others. The event emphasized the significance of community service and the collective strength that comes from paying tribute to those who serve.
