International Development Minister and York South–Weston MP Ahmed Hussen announces the federal government is partnering with the City of Toronto to protect the city from worsening floods. The two governments will together invest $323 million in modifying the Black and Lavender Creek channels in the city's Rockcliffe-Smythe area to reduce the risk of flooding in the future. He is joined by Toronto Mayor Olivia Chow and local councillor Frances Nunziata.
